We are pleased and excited to host the 2017 Glenn-McConnell-Boyd Family Reunion in Charlotte, NC. We believe the excitement will be contagious during our family’s first official visit to “The Queen City.” Our 20th Biennial reunion is being celebrated on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University in its Sesquicentennial year. We ask that you encourage everyone in your immediate and extended family to go with us on this new and exciting journey into the future, especially those that have never experienced a Glenn-McConnell-Boyd Family Reunion. Mark your calendars for July 20th-23rd, 2017 and join us at Johnson C. Smith University. Considering the economic times we are in, we have held general registration to $130 for adults (13 and over), $70 for children (5-12), and ages 0-4 free.
There is a block of rooms reserved for our reunion at the Uptown Doubletree in Charlotte, NC. The hotel cost is $124 per night. Single/Double/King per night plus tax. This rate is available three days before and three days after the reunion for those that might want to extend your stay and spend a few days in the Charlotte Area. The host hotel is approximately 5 minutes from the JCSU campus, and these rates are competitive, as this time of year is during peak travel season. Also, it is important to note that the hotel is the first stop on the Sprinter Bus line between Uptown Charlotte and the Charlotte-Douglas Airport (a $2 fare with drop offs every 20 minutes on a weekday and every half-hour on the weekend), a short ride (3.3 miles) from the Amtrak Station and two and a half blocks from the Greyhound Station.

NOTE: There is a $5.00 per day/unit parking fee that will be added to each’s billing folio. A minimum of a 3-night stay is required for all reservations.
Additionally, there is space available on the campus of JCSU at the Mosaic Village Suites and in the dormitories on campus. The suites are available at the rate of approximately $75 per night per bedroom. There is a parking deck that charges $5 a day for parking at the Mosaic Village. On-campus parking at JCSU is free.
